Teams of researchers are trying to make robots that can do stand-up comedy. It’s not just about telling a joke, but getting the timing right and making the right movements.
Kleomenis Katevas, a student from Queen Mary University of London created an algorithm – a set of rules to follow – to tell the robot comedian when to pause and for how long to be as good as a human comedian.
