Computing is changing the future. It also had a giant effect on the past.

The first working computers were built in the 1940s and helped the Allies win World War II. Some amazing women and men were then responsible for the early ideas that made modern computers possible.

People had been inventing intriguing machines that did computation for centuries before that, though.
