The first programmer

Ada Lovelace was the first programmer. She wrote programs for a Victorian computer designed by Charles Babbage. Unfortunately the computer wasn’t completed, so her programs were never used.

They did work though.

She was the daughter of famous poet Lord Byron. While her father wrote wonderful poems, poems don’t really do much. She wrote programs and programs actually do stuff. They have completely changed the way we live, work and play.
